About

The Planning Surveyors Club is a professional membership organisation established to bring together planning practitioners from across the United Kingdom.

Our members include planning professionals working in local authorities, private consultancy, development companies, law and related sectors. The club provides a forum for substantive discussion, knowledge sharing and professional networking on the topics and challenges that shape town planning and development in the United Kingdom.

What We Do

We organise regular meetings and events at which members can discuss current planning topics, policy developments and emerging practice. Our events feature presentations and after-dinner addresses from distinguished speakers drawn from across planning law, policy, local government and the wider development sector.

Past speakers have included leading planning King's Counsel, Members of the House of Lords, and senior figures from local planning authorities and government. A record of our programme can be found on the Past Events page.

Membership

Membership is open to planning professionals and those working in related fields, including planning consultants, local authority planners, barristers and solicitors with a planning practice, development surveyors and others engaged in the planning and development of land.

Members benefit from access to our events programme, networking opportunities, and the exchange of knowledge and experience with senior colleagues from across the profession.
